Thank you for coming to check out our trip. I am excited about once again leading a group of promoting eighth graders on a tour of our nation's capital and beyond.  In addition to touring Washington DC, we will also be visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Charlottesville on this trip. I have had the opportunity to lead this trip for many years and I can assure you that safety is, and always has been, my top priority. I am assuming we will be fine as far as Covid goes by 2024 but if I do not feel it is safe, we will not be making the trip. As a part of the need to make the trip as safe as possible, everyone on the trip will be required to provide proof of having the Covid Vaccination.   With that in mind, I would encourage everyone to purchase the trip insurance when signing up.  In normal years, I have said that I did not think this was a necessary expense but as we all know, these are not normal times.   If you purchase the trip insurance you can get a complete refund of everything you paid, except the cost of the trip insurance, if you cancel for any reason at anytime even up to the day of departure.
